Where the wind stops.

Where the wind stops.

The work investigates the everyday life inside an estancia near El Calafate, Argentina, through the production of dream images that try to interpret the subjects by placing them in a micro-world alternated by tender and harsh moments in which death is conceived as part of the journey in one’s life on this earth, which slowly takes back its own things and time.
Here time seems to stop to make room for a deafening silence permeating everyday life. In this particular context people become dream symbols and the real protagonists of a short photographic novel where men and animals measure themselves against nature and its time.

This series was taken in January 2019, in the province of El Calafate south of Argentina.
